Day1: Siem Reap – Arrival – Sunset Drink
Arrive in Siem Reap where you will be met by your expert guide and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy your first taste of Angkor with a visit to Banteay Kdei temple followed by sunset drinks on the moat of Angkor Thom, a world away from the tourist crowds. Overnight in Siem Reap
Day2: Siem Reap – Angkor Thom – Ta Prom Breakfast
Today after breakfast at your hotel, a single, magical day at the temples following our well researched crowd avoidance itinerary, including Ta Prohm of ‘Tomb Raider’ fame, Angkor Thom: Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King, Preah Palilay, Phimeanakas, Baphuon, and the Bayon with its captivating stone faces. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day3: Siem Reap – Sunrise – Angkor Wat – Oxcart ride Breakfast
Motor Tuk Tuk through the darkness of pre-dawn to see the sunrise over Angkor Wat as we guide you to the best photo vantage points. Explore the temple in the hours immediately after sunrise when the temple is at its quietest. This afternoon take a journey of discovery by ox-cart and on foot to visit villages little changed since the days of Jayavarman VII. End the day with a cocktail drink at countryside overlooking the paddy fields. Overnight in Siem Reap
Day4: Siem Reap – Boat to Prek Toal & Battambang Breakfast
Cruise by boat across the great Tonle Sap and up the Sangker River to Battambang, the center of agriculture in Cambodia's fertile southwest. There is an opportunity to stop at several places along the way as we pass floating and stilted villages, including at Prek Toal bird sanctuary and island wats. Overnight in Battambang
Day5: Battambang – Tour & Bamboo Train Breakfast
In the morning explore some of the local markets and the French Colonial architecture around Battambang town, before a ride on the famous bamboo train. This afternoon visit Wat Ek Phnom with its 30m tall white Buddha and see how fish paste and rice paper are made.. Overnight in Battambang
Day6: Battambang – Kampong Chnang – Phnom Penh Breakfast
Road to Phnom Penh of 291 km through the villages and countryside. Several visits are planned along the way: first the provincial town of Pursat with arteliers of sculpture on marble of art and very Buddha objects known in the country, Continue to Kampong Chnang, visit the village and people making pots, vases and other ceramic articles. Continue to Phnom Udong, one of the ancient capitals of Cambodia after Angkor. The hill is coif free by huge stupas former roiset a new magnificent stupa for a house the center of the Buddha. Above, you can admire the beautiful and scenic village of pagodas, plains, lakes. After the downhill road to the village of goldsmiths along Tonle Sap manufacturing center souvenir silver, you will come to the end of the day at Phnom Penh. Overnight in Phnom Penh
Day7: Phnom Penh – City Tour & Cyclo Ride Breakfast
Weaving through Phnom Penh’s colorful streets, explore some of our favorite’s hidden gems by traditional transportation method: the cyclo. In the afternoon take in the shimmering spires of the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Overnight in Phnom Penh
Day8: Phnom Penh – Killing Field & S21 Prison – Russian Market Breakfast
This morning we endeavor to provide some insights into Cambodia’s recent tragic history under the Khmer Rouge with visits to the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng (S-21) Prison. Later visit Wat Phnom to learn how the city got its name and stroll around the boutiques of street 178. The rest of your day enjoys shopping with local product at Russian market. Overnight in Phnom Penh
Day9: Phnom Penh – Skoun – Kratie Breakfast
Depart Phnom Penh in the morning to drive to the town of Kratie, located in east-central Cambodia, in order to spot Irrawaddy Dolphins on the Mekong River. In route, you will pass through scenic countryside and stop in the small town of Skoun to see (perhaps dare to try?) deep fried spiders. Overnight in Kratie
Day10: Kratie – Mekong Dolphins – Mondulkiri Breakfast
Take a boat out onto the Mekong to try your luck at spotting an Irawaddy Dolphin. Continue to Sen Monorom in the province of Mondulkiri in the mountainous region of northern Cambodia that borders Vietnam. Overnight in Sen Monorom
Day11: Mondulkiri – Elephant Project (ELIE) Breakfast
Today is all about elephants with a visit to ELIE (Elephants Livelihood Initiative Environment), a center for elephants rescued from various trades. An hour drive and short trek through the emerald jungle brings you to your destination where you will meet the magnificent creatures. Overnight in Sen Monorom
Day12: Mondulkiri – Trekking & Bousra Waterfall Breakfast
Discover the beautiful area of the Northern Highlands of Seima Protected Forest with a local guide who knows the area well. There are several different treks covering different parts of the forest depending on the season and catering to differing levels of fitness. In the afternoon visit Bousra Waterfall, one of Cambodia´s most impressive falls. Overnight in Sen Monorom
Day13: Mondulkiri – Local market – Phnom Penh Breakfast
Visit a local market this morning before your drive back to Phnom Penh where the rest of the day will be at leisure for you to further explore the capital. Overnight in Phnom Penh
Day14: Phnom Penh – Kep beach – Leisure Breakfast
Private transfer by road to the delightfully sleepy coastal town of Kep, a fashionable seaside resort in the 1960s. Explore some of the examples of colonial French and modern Khmer architecture, which are wonderful to visit and photograph in their various states of disrepair. Look out for the bullet-scarred and long abandoned holiday residence of the King. Overnight in Kep
Day15 & Day 16: Kep beach – Leisure Breakfast
Full days to relax or take a long tail boat to nearby Rabbit Island or walk up Kep hill for views over the Gulf of Thailand. Overnight in Kep
Day17: Kep beach – Phnom Penh Airport – Departure Breakfast
