Do you qualify for a visitor visa?
You qualify for a B-1 visa if you are coming to the U.S as a visitor for a temporary business trip. You qualify for a B-2 visa if you are visiting the U.S. temporarily, either as a tourist or for medical treatment. A B-1 visa will allow you to be in the U.S. for business purposes such as making investments, looking for products, attending seminars or doing expats in the United States.
Unlike the B-1 visitor, the B-2 tourist may not engage in business-related activities at all. A condition of being admitted on a B-2 visa is that you are visiting solely for purpose of pleasure or medical treatment. Marriage to a United States citizen qualifies a foreign-born person for a green card.
The K-3 visa entitles that the visa applicant can enter and reside in the U.S as a non-immigrant until the immigrant visa petition filed by the petitioner is approved and the visa applicant is able to obtain immigrant visa status.
If you have been married for less than 2 years when you arrived in the U.S. on an immigrant visa or are approved for adjustment of status after arriving in the U.S., you will be given a conditional green card that expires after 2 years. Ninety days before the expiration of 2 years, you will have to apply to remove conditions on the green card and apply for a permanent one (10 years green card).
Do you qualify for a K-1 Visa?
This visa is not for use by couples who are simply considering marriage. You will need to show proof that you truly plan to get married, such as letters to each other discussing your plans and wedding announcement to friends. The object of the petition is to prove that you have a bona fide intention of marrying a U.S. Citizen within 90 days after you arrived in the United States, a date for the wedding, and made some arrangements like hiring a caterer.
For some couples, the requirement that they have already met is difficult or violates their religious principles. If you practice a religion in which marriages are customarily arranged by families and premarital meeting are prohibited, you can ask that a meeting requirement be waived. You will have to show that both parties will be following all the customs of marriage and weddings that are part of the region.
International Student Visa
Whether you want to enter a short course, batchelor or master degree in any field of study, a student visa may allow you to do so. We will cover two type of student visas, the M-1 Visa for vocaitonal student and the F-1 visa for academic students.
Do you qualify for a student visa (M-1 or F-1)?
To qualify for an M-1 or F-1 student visa, you first must have been accepted at a school approved by the U.S government. You must be also coming to the U.S as a bona fide student pursuing a full course of study. Your intended program must lead to an objective such as a degree, diploma, or certificate.
You must also already be accepted by the school of your choice and have enough money to study full-time without working.
You must be able to speak, read, and write English to understand the course work or, alternatively, the school can offer special tutoring or instruction in your native tongue to help overcome any language barriers. In addition to your academic and financial qualifications, you must prove that you intend to return to your home country when your program of studies is over. Are You Eligible for a Green Card Through the Lottery?
Cambodia is one of the country that eligibles for Diversity Visa (DV) Program to the United States.
In order to enter the lottery, you must have either a high school diploma or a minimum of two years’ experience in a job that normally require at least of two years training or experience. Only the lottery winner-not his or her spouse or children –needs to meet the educational requirement.
